Before the oficial chronicle of our colleagues in Brazil, Mari Luz Iñarra and Jose Antonio Osaba, we want to describe some of the significant moments of the meeting held this past weekend.

The meeting brought together over 80 representatives of peasant organizations and rural NGOs and experts in family agriculture of 13 countries in America, and representatives of the governments of Brazil, Chile and Paraguay. Also in attendance were AFA's General Secretary (Asian Farmers' Association) Esther Penunia and a member of the Board of ROPPA (Network of Peasant Organizations of West Africa), King David Amoah.

It has been two days of intensive work during has been identified the main areas of work and have set specific targets to strengthen the campaign in America.
