Two members of the WRF Secretariat will travel to New York in the first part of July 2010 with the main objective of exploring the procedure-procedures to be followed in order to achieve the proclamation of the IYFF by the UN General Assembly.

They will have meetings with different Permanent Missions to the United Nations, especially with those supporting already the IYFF Campaign.

The WRF representatives have also arranged appointments with international organization as IFAD, FAO, World Bank, as well as USA Farmers´ federations.

This is a new and exciting step ahead in our Campaign in favour of the Declaration of the International Year of Family Farming!
